Karl Stefanovic 'devastated' after missing out on Logie nomination
Karl Stefanovic is apparently “devastated” he’s missed out on a Gold Logie nomination this year.
The Today host reportedly feels “humiliated” after going unnoticed by Australia’s biggest television awards ceremony this year, despite scooping two of the gongs in previous years.
“Karl is devastated that he’s been snubbed for a Logie nomination,” a source told New Idea.
While the reason for being overlooked hasn’t been confirmed, there’s no denying the last 12 months have been big for the 43-year-old. Sadly not for the right reasons.
In October his co-host of ten years Lisa Wilkinson gave up her seat beside him to join rival show The Project.
Not long after Georgie Gardner joined him in the prestigious role at the start of the year, he was busted berating her in an Uber to his younger brother, journalist Peter Stefanovic.
While his professional life has been front and centre his personal life has too, thanks to his relationship with younger partner, Jasmine Yarbrough, 33.
Karl shocked many when he ended his marriage of 21 years to Cassandra Thorburn only to start a new romance with the shoe designer just months later who he has since gone on to ‘tie the knot’ to.
“He’s just taking blow after blow after blow at the moment and he’s at the end of his rope,” the source told the magazine, adding they felt the Logie snub was was due to his “messy” split.
Karl hasn’t commented on the reports and when Be reached out to his reps, he declined to comment.
But he’s not alone in being left in the cold for this years glitzy TV awards, with Lisa, 50, also being missed out despite her popularity.
However her co-host Carrie Bickmore has received a nod in the Popular Presenter category, adding further fuel to the rumours the pair are locked in a bitter feud.
So much drama.
