Kate Middleton has ‘taken Meghan under her wing’ as she deals with family feud

Her half-sister has been slamming her for months now and she’s estranged from her father but Meghan Markle is said to have found an ally in Kate Middleton.

The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly ‘leaning on’ the Duchess of Cambridge in the midst of her hectic family feud, according to evoke.ie.

Their bond was evident at Wimbledon two weeks ago when they attended the women’s singles final to watch Meghan’s friend, Serena Williams.

In December, it was claimed that Kate was guiding Meghan through royal life, as she sympathized with her being the new member of the family.

“She wants to protect Meghan from all the negative parts of royal life,” a royal insider told New Idea.

However, Woman’s Day reported the Duchess is ‘furious’ Meghan has been so readily accepted into the royal family by the public, especially given their similar backgrounds.

“Unlike Camilla, Meghan wasn’t treated as second-rate when Harry proposed, despite the fact she’s a divorcee,” a source told Woman’s Day.

“Everyone is comparing Meghan to Diana right now and saying she’ll be the next ‘people’s princess’.”

Indeed, Meghan’s transition from Hollywood star to British duchess has appeared to go without a hitch.

She’s even reported to have been taken under Queen Elizabeth’s wing, with the 92-year-old monarch taking a solo trip with the Duchess just weeks after she married Prince Harry.

Prince Charles’ former butler Grant Harrold explains that new members of the royal family, such as Meghan Markle, learn royal etiquette by watching practiced members.

“She will learn from the other members of the royal family, which will be following them round, and copying the way they do things,” Harrold told Yahoo UK.

“She’s got a wonderful sister-in-law for this, and of course the Queen, because the Queen is the perfect member of the family to follow.”
