Katy Perry's kind gesture to concertgoers totally backfires
Katy Perry showcased her generous side at a recent concert in her hometown of Santa Barbara, California.
But unfortunately her kind gesture backfired… sort of.
The singer announced on stage that she would be picking up the bar tab for the rest of the night, which received an abundance of cheers from the audience.
“I’m just going to executive decision this. I’d like for all the beers to be on me tonight,” she declared in the video above. “Make sure everyone gets a drink on me, all the beers.”
Katy noticed one guy in the crowd bolting to the bar.
“He’s like, ‘I’m out, I’m going’,” she joked on stage.
However, many followed suit, making a hasty exit to the bar.
“But hold on… you guys, it’s a good show. Don’t leave. Everyone’s leaving,” she said.

But being the fabulous human she is, the 33-year-old was understanding.
“There’s a lot of guys who are there ’cause I think they want to be, but I know that they’re usually there to support their wives or girlfriends or kids,” she told Entertainment Tonight the day after the concert.
Katy was actually thrilled by the reaction.
“So all the men – even my own sister’s husband – left and they all came back double-fisting. It was amazing,” she admitted.
Hopefully everyone still got to enjoy the concert, while holding a nice cooling beverage in their hands with the bill being footed by Katy Perry.
