Keith Urban discusses wife Nicole Kidman 'heckling' him

Amidst rumours their marriage is on the rocks, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman put those reports to rest after they performed one of the country singer’s songs on stage together in Nashville earlier this year.

Keith has now discussed exactly how he got his Oscar-winning actress wife up on stage with him.

It was all down to Nicole heckling him, Keith admitted on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“She regrets it now,” the 50-year-old musician said.

Keith explained someone in the audience had asked about his song called Parallel Line.

He was discussing the song with the audience when “from the back of the room, this woman goes, ‘Play the song!’.” It was, of course, Nicole.

“I was like, I know that voice anywhere, and of course it’s my wife heckling me basically,” Keith explained. “I said, ‘Will you come up and do it with me?’.”

Keith “never thought” Nic would get up on stage with him, but unbeknownst to him, she did.

“Because she’s very frustrated, excruciating for her to do that,” Keith told Ellen. “But she did. She got up and sang it.”

The couple tied the knot in 2006 in Sydney and have two children together: Sunday, nine, and seven-year-old Faith.

Let’s face it, couples who duet together, stay together.
