Keith Urban has revealed his wife Nicole Kidman saved him from his drug addiction, admitting she set up an “intervention” that resulted him going to rehab.
Describing her efforts as “love in action,” on Andrew Denton’s Interview, the country singer said he will be forever grateful to his 51-year-old wife for forcing him to confront his issues shortly after they married in 2006.
“I was struggling a lot early on with all kinds of issues, addiction obviously,” he told the host.
The dad of two detailed the 10 years he struggled with addiction as a “real rollercoaster,” one he didn’t get off until Nicole stepped in.

“My wife put an intervention together, and it was divine, it was a divine intervention,” he said. “It’s true, it was love in action.”
The pair are credited with having one of Hollywood’s strongest relationships and recently celebrated their 12 year anniversary.
But the musician — who shares two daughters, Sunday, 10, and Faith, seven, with the Big Little Lies star — admitted he initially thought his wife “was out of his league” when he met her.
In the past, Keith has talked about how he thought it was a “miracle” that his marriage “survived” the first year because of his issues.
“I caused the implosion of my fresh marriage,” he told Rolling Stone. “It survived, but it’s a miracle it did.”
Aww, these two are seriously adorable.
