The fashion week wardrobe malfunction everyone missed
With so many dresses and so much at stake, it’s not surprising that fashion weeks across the globe can be filled with wardrobe malfunctions and mishaps.
But luckily there are also teams of talented stylists on hand to try and keep everything in order, which is what happened at last year’s New York Fashion Week when Kendall Jenner was about to go on stage to accept her award as 'Fashion Icon of the Decade'.
The 22-year-old model and reality star was dolled up in a jaw-droppingly gorgeous Giambattista Valli dress when the whole back opened up.
“My dress broke,” Kendall explained on this week’s episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians, “The whole zipper came undone, so Marni [her stylist] sewed me in.”
“Oh! I love it,” squealed her momager Kris in reply, “fashion emergency!”
Kendall’s incredible gown featured a one-shouldered neckline and dramatic tulle skirt, and to add yet more glamour to the look, she paired it with Lorraine Schwartz jewellery and a matte red lip.
While Kendall was a feature at the September runway shows for NYFW last year - inbetween accepting her award of course - she hasn’t been seen at the shows this week.
It’s understood she’s decided to take a break this time around due to her crippling panic attacks. She was shown speaking to her Kris about one on KUWTK, with the mum later explaining, “Kendall struggles from anxiety”.
“I think she has so much going on that she gets herself really worked up.
“Kendall gets the most anxious during fashion week so when she’s traveling a lot.”
