Following Shannon Noll's arrest outside an Adelaide strip club earlier this month, shock jock Kyle Sandilands has decided to play a prank on the singer.
The 45-year-old radio star directly called 41-year-old Shannon's personal number on Monday morning, and left a cheeky voicemail in which he pretended to be a stripper from the South Australian joint.
"Hey Nollsie, it's Bambi from the strip club in Adelaide. Darl you never settled your lap dance account so if you could just give us a call down here at Crazy Horse Adelaide, you know the number Nollsie," Kyle began.
"I need a card or something to swipe it on. I know normally you'd like to give cash but we need a card or something over the phone. OK darl, can't wait to see you next time."
Then for humorous effect, Kyle sang the chorus of Rihanna's song 'Shut Up And Drive', instead of Shannon's track 'Drive'.
Shannon is due to face court on February 24, a day before his sold out Red Hot Summer show at Bribie Island, Queensland.
He was charged with two counts of assault following an altercation outside Crazy Horse strip club.
The alleged incident took place on Hindley Street in the South Australian capital after Shannon was refused entry into the well-known venue.
Earlier on the weekend, Shannon, who came runner-up to Guy Sebastian on Australian Idol in 2003, had performed with legendary Australian singer Daryl Braithewaite at Sounds by the River in Mannum.
He was taken into custody after the incident, with eyewitness video showing the What About Me singer being pinned down on the ground by the venue's security guards.
