Kylie Minogue is picking herself up and dusting herself off after breaking her engagement to Joshua Sasse earlier this month.
"It wasn't meant to be and so I look forward to moving on, richer for the experience,' the singer told the Sunday Herald Sun.
"I haven't had the white picket fence and happy ever after in my life, so far, but perhaps that's just not my destiny. I know love and I love to be in love."
The revealing interview comes one day after the 48-year-old Australian pop star shared a photo of herself stepping off a private jet, with a red heart-shaped balloon in her hand.
"Hi #lovers!!!" she captioned the image.
In the photo, the media personality wore a double denim ensemble layered with a light coat.
A smile was plastered across her face, and no doubt the social media post emerges as an effort, being made by the singer, to maintain a positive outlook given her recent heartbreak.
Earlier this month Kylie confirmed she and Joshua had split.
The singer announced the sad news on her Instagram page, writing: "Thank you for all your love and support throughout this recent chapter of my life.
"Thank you now for your love and understanding with the news that Josh and I have decided to go our separate ways. We wish only the best for each other as we venture towards new horizons."
The superstar reportedly called off their engagement over suspicions Joshua has been getting close to Spanish actress Marta Milans, according to The Sun.
Joshua and 34-year-old actress Marta worked closely on the set of TV drama No Tomorrow in Canada last year.
The couple had been together for just over 18 months and got engaged last February, when Josh popped the question with a antique princess-cut diamond sparkler from 1908.
