Did Lara Worthington just share the first glimpse of Avatar 2?

It’s been over a year since it was announced the epic sci-fi movie Avatar would be getting not one, but four sequels.

Now fans have got excited after Lara Worthington shared a snap of her with hubby Sam in full prosthetics whilst on set.

While the photo of the two of them kissing is gathering attention from excited film fanatics, sadly it isn’t a sneak peek of the highly anticipated sequel to the 2009 sci-fi fave.

Instead it’s a throwback photo taken behind the scenes of the Australian actor’s lead role in The Titan on Netflix.

Honey you taste funny!” the model wrote, alongside the image of her locking lips with a rather mutant looking Sam.

It’s understandable excited fans jumped to conclusion, with some even asking if he “knew” his wife was sharing spoilers.

With a blue colour to his skin and neither of them looking at the camera, it’s hard to actually see what character Sam is in.

But the use of the hashtag #titan is what has disappointed Avatar fans around the world.

The original 2009 film earned $2.7 billion, making it the “highest-grossing” flick of all time and in April 2017, the director, producer and co-writer James Cameron revealed they would be producing sequels numbered from 2 – 5.

It was a huge win for fans, who had been waiting eight years for confirmation.

Avatar 2 is currently set to be released worldwide in 2020, with the rest of the movies to follow.

But sadly it seems we’re going to have to wait a little bit longer for a real glimpse of what it will look like.
