When it comes to some of the cutest things in the world, nannas are usually right up there with baby pandas and teacup kittens AKA the kind of adorbz that gives you warm fuzzies. And recently, a totes polite (and equally sweet) British Grandma has done her part to reinforce that stereotype by including please and thank you in her Google search.

Ben Ashworth, 25, popped over to his gran May’s house to do his washing and opened her laptop to kill some time while he was waiting. That was when he stumbled across her unusual search in Google which included some good old fashion manners.

“I asked my nan why she used ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ and it seemed she thinks that there is someone – a physical person – at Google’s headquarters who looks after the searches," he told BBC.

“She thought that by being polite and using her manners, the search would be quicker.”

Ben tweeted the hilarious image from his personal account and it was retweeted more than 11,000 times capturing even Google's attention.

Google UK tweeted back to Ben’s Nan thanking her: “In a world of billions of searches, yours made us smile. Oh, and it’s 1998,” it added. “Thank YOU”.
