Gina Liano: "Ladies, say no to activewear"

Look girls, I’m going to be brutally honest (how very unlike me) and say it: there’s a time and place for activewear, and guess what, it’s when you’re being active.

Being active is when you’re on your way to the gym or to training, or on the way back. Stopping for a coffee on the way? OK, that might be acceptable but that’s about it.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but most women don’t look good in leggings.

Lycra is not a wonder fabric. It doesn’t magically make your bum any smaller. The fact that it feels like it’s pulling your shape in? Sorry, but it doesn’t actually do it in real life.

I get that people want to be relaxed, but ladies, it can’t be just because you feel like wearing it.

That’s why when it comes to the activewear trend, it’s a thumbs down from me. I don’t even own a tracksuit!
