Gina Liano: "These are the things you should NEVER wear"

Girls, if I’ve learnt one thing it’s that just because it’s in fashion doesn’t mean you should wear it.

You need to be selective about what you wear. You need to be consistent. And most of all – and this is an important one – you need to wear what suits YOU.

There’s some fashion shockers though that I think people need to steer clear of.

The bubble skirt is definitely one of them. Not everyone can wear it. In fact, I’d go so far as to say no one should wear it.

Don’t get me started on acid wash denim either. It’s so 80s! Unless you have a mullet or a Mohawk, there’s no excuse to be digging these ones out of the wardrobe.

Still on the subject of denim, what’s the point of paper bag jeans? What have you got in the paper bag? We probably don’t want to know…

Look, there’s all manner of fashion crimes I could go on about. Too-short skirts where everyone can see your backside, opaque tights with white shoes, thongs and socks… the list goes on.

Like I said, dress for you, and you’ll be fine.

And remember: once you get to a certain age, you can wear whatever you bloody well like.
