Cheeky duck gatecrashes couple’s first dance at their wedding

There’s always that friend that steals the limelight on the dancefloor, and for newlyweds Peter Cole and Sarah Eakers, it was none other than a gatecrashing duck.

Video has emerged of the couple’s first dance with wedding guests heard commenting in the background - not on the loved up couple swaying to a cover of Bryan Adams’ Heaven – but on the duck carving it up around them.

“Oh it’s so cute,” says one guest. “The duck’s pissed,” adds another.

The couple tied the knot in Devon, with their feathered friend making an appearance shortly before the ceremony – much to the confusion of hotel staff and guests.

“I was stood at the top of the red carpet waiting for Sarah and it just strutted on up out of nowhere. Everyone was in stitches,” said Peter. “It was definitely a bit weird and it certainly lit the day up.”

“After the ceremony it disappeared for a little while to go swimming, but then it was back for the first dance in the evening.”

With nothing left to do but embrace their gatecrasher shaking its tail feather on the dancefloor, later the groom was seen lying down on the floor with some food on his, er, lower regions, for the duck to peck at.
