A couple accidentally listed children as a meal option on their wedding invitations

While we're all used to seeing beef, lamb, salmon and steak as meal options on a wedding invitations, this couple's RSVPs included children as a choice.

Yes, you read that right, the couple mistakenly added the choice of “child (12 and under)” to the little cards, right beside the beef and pork entree options.

A picture of the invitation was shared to Reddit, along with the title: "I'll have the 10 year old, please, medium rare..."

Since then, it's been viewed over one million times, sending the hilarious faux pas viral.

"I'll have the baby back ribs," one commenter said, before another quipped: "This sauvignon blanc goes perfectly with this 7 year-old".

While we can only imagine how embarrassed the couple are about the invitation mishap, we're also wondering how on earth they didn't notice it before they sent them out.

This invitation gives a while new meaning to people saying they'll have your kids over for dinner.
