Prince Harry has been voted the hottest male royal in the world.

The 31-year-old royal beat out his big brother Prince William, who came in ninth in the ranking.

The poll was carried out by by Crown Clinic in Manchester, who asked 1,000 women who they thought was the most attractive royal in the world.

Prince Carl Philip who is fourth in line to the Swedish throne, came in second place on the list and fourth in line to the throne of Monaco Andrea Casiraghi came in third place.

Princess Anne's son, Peter Phillips, came in tenth place on the list, the only other British royal to make the poll apart from Harry and William.

Surgeon Asim Shahmalak from Crown Clinic said it was no surprise that Prince Harry won the heart's of the female population.

"Prince Harry is our most popular young royal and it is great to see that he has now been voted the world's number one Prince Charming, too," he told the Daily Mail.

"The other fun finding from the poll is that it was won by a ginger-haired man. You don't find many Hollywood leading men who are redheads but Harry shows that it is a very attractive hair colour.

"I think Harry's whole look has been enhanced by his recent beard which really suits him."

Prince Harry was also named as one of the top ten people British women would like to see on their doorstep.

The 31-year-old royal placed sixth on the list, closely behind television presenter David Attenborough and reality star Kim Kardashian West.

Topping the list was 'Mad Max: Fury Road' star Tom Hardy with 15% whilst 'Deadpool' actor Ryan Reynolds came a close second with 13%. James Corden placed third with 10%.

Another member of the royal family - Duchess Catherine's sister Pippa Middleton - also made it onto the top 10 celebrities British men would like to see at their home.

Sylvester Stallone topped the poll with 18% whilst sportsmen Cristiano Ronaldo (16%) and David Haye (15%) came second and third respectively. Pippa - who is engaged to be married to James Matthews - came in ninth place, just under 'We Are Your Friends' star Emily Ratajkowski.

The study was carried out by home-interiors brand www.Hillarys.co.uk, who quizzed 2,532 Britons about their ideal guest.

Tara Hall, spokesperson for www.hillarys.co.uk, said: "It's funny to think that if Tom Hardy or Mila Kunis surprised us at home, many of us would react by doing a spot of vacuuming before treating them to a cuppa!"
