Blake Lively's brother asked her why she still looked pregnant, one month after giving birth

Blake Lively may be one of the most beautiful women in the world but even she isn't exempt from a bit of body shaming.

The 29-year-old actress, who is married to superstar actor Ryan Reynolds, is the cover star for Marie Claire Australia's October issue and made a startling revelation that her brother asked her why she still looked pregnant, one month after she gave birth to her one-year-old daughter, James.

Speaking about shooting her new film The Shallows on Lord Howe Island, Blake said it was a huge challenge to feel comfortable in a bikini so soon after giving birth, however we can't imagine her brother's comments didn't help matters.

"It was 10 months after having a baby, and I had to be just in a bikini. So for vanity's sake, that was an issue," she told Marie Claire Australia.

"My brother said to me a month after, 'why do you still look pregnant?'".

The star laughed at how blunt her sibling was being but did claim that "there's a more graceful way to say that".

During the interview Blake also gushed about her husband of four years Ryan Reynolds. revealing that they were friends for years before they ever became romantically involved.

""I knew he would be my best friend for my whole life," she said of hubbie.

"I'd never known anything like the friendship I had with him. I could like him as much as I loved him.

"You see people fall in and out of love but I can't imagine falling out of love with him."

The former Gossip Girl star is currently pregnant with the couple's second child and is set to star in Marc Forster’s All I See Is You, which just debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival, which is a thriller-drama about a blind woman.
