The Duke of Cambridge said he couldn't bare the thought of having to explain to his children, "why we lost this battle when we had the tools to win it," speaking about the endangered African Elephant.
But all hope is not lost and, "we can do something," the Prince said, who is an avid supporter of the charity.
"If we are to succeed we must do more. We must do it faster and do it better, but most importantly, we must do it together," he said.
The 34-year-old's moving speech comes prior to Johannesburg's Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora in South Africa commencing September 24.
