There’s a crazy statistic out there that more people are killed taking selfies than those who perish from shark attacks.

It seems too bizarre to be true, but after watching this Indian man face off with some fangs after attempting a dangerous selfie with a huge python, we can see how this could happen.

In footage that will definitely make you reassess whether that selfie is really worth it, a group of men in India's Mount Abu are seen holding a huge python officials have recently caught in a hotel.

Clearly excited with their catch, the idea of an epic selfie is too much for one man to ignore. Backing up to the snake with his eyes glued to his phone, he’s seen trying to get a snap, before the snake lunges and attempts to sink its fangs into his neck.

Reports claim the man escaped uninjured. No word on whether he managed to snap the selfie though.
