Heartwarming moment horse reunites with teddy he cuddled as an orphan

We all have that one stuffed toy we remember from our childhood - and for Breeze the horse, it was love all over again when he was reunited with his furry friend, Buttons.

Breeze was rescued by the Mare and Foal Sanctuary in Devon in 2013, when he was found dehydrated and in shock after being abandoned by his mum.

Staff gave the orphaned foal the oversized teddy bear as a source of comfort while he adjusted to life at the Sanctuary.

While years have passed and Breeze has grown up, the horse knew exactly who his old buddy was when they were reunited for old times sake.

“Reunited after three years, we could see how pleased Breeze was to have his friend back!" said Deputy Yard Manager Nicola Anstey.

“There was a lot of interested sniffing and licking, then Breeze decided to give Buttons a tour of his new stable and carried him around by his ear."
