Is this the most extravagant wedding ever?

A Russian bride has just taken the cake (literally, wait till you see it) for the world’s most expensive wedding.

Madina Shokirova, daughter of oil tycoon Ilkhom Shokirov, spared no expense on her nuptials, with her wedding dress alone costing AU $800,000, according to the Mirror UK.

The gorgeous couture gown, designed by Ralph & Russo, featured a stunning train and a bodice embroidered with pearls and Swarovski crystals. To top things off, Shokirova also added an elaborate crown to her outfit.

But the dress wasn’t the only thing she (or rather, her father) splashed out on: according to reports, Shokirova and her new husband, who goes by the name Sador, invited 900 guests to the wedding. So while the 10-foot cake looked impressive, it would have been a miracle if it managed to feed that many people.

As for the entertainment, apparently the couple spent over $500,000 to employ a host of Russian cabaret dancers and singers. Oh, and did we mention that Shokirova flew her bridesmaids to Spain for the Bachelorette party?
