Prince Charles’ missus was a bit of wild child in her youth!
It seems Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, had a bit of a bad girl past - as it’s been revealed she was sacked from her first job.
According to a new memoir called On The Fringe: A Life in Decorating, the Duchess' old employee and the book’s author, Imogen Taylor, says Camilla's first serious job was as an assistant at an interior design company called Colefax and Fowler.
“There were a lot of debutantes working for us, even Camilla,” says Imogen, 90, who has worked at the company since 1949.
“She worked for us for a moment but got the sack.”
It’s been claimed that Camilla was fired by her then boss Tom Parr because she’d been partying the night before!
“The Duchess of Cornwall was one assistant who fell victim to one of [Parr’s] tantrums,” Imogen writes.
“I think she came in late having been to a dance.”
These days, the 60-year-old Duchess has a role alongside her husband performing public duties, and according to PEOPLE, she went on 230 official trips last year.
We can’t imagine her boss - the Queen - being too impressed if she caught Camilla creeping in late because of having a late night!
