Posted online with the caption: ‘Has your heart melted too?’ the image has racked up a staggering 25,000 likes in just one day.

The image shows a dog asleep on a computer keyboard, with the ray of the screen shining on it’s face.

The Reddit user posted the words ‘After not seeing my dog in 5 months, I skyped with him last night.

“My mom sent me this after we disconnected.”

The internet went into meltdown when the picture was posted, with animal lovers everywhere swooning over the precious snap.

“For the love and loyalty the dog has shown, my heart melted!!,” one Reddit user said.

“I'm a puddle. So sweet,” a commenter said.
