He’s the poor, unsuspecting real estate agent who was thrown into a minefield of Peppa Pig, toddler cuddles and poo talk, and now Dan Stevenson has become the pin-up of mums everywhere after his story was shared over social media.
London mum blogger Lorna Hayward posted a snap of Dan, 26, posing with her two daughters Elsie, three and 18-month-old Marnie with the adorable accompanying explanation.
“This is Dan. He just valued our flat. I had warned him, that arriving in my only available slot of the day at 5pm was risky. Nevertheless he rocked up,” wrote Lorna.
“In the last hour Dan (who is a complete stranger) has had both my daughters request cuddles, can he hold their hands, if he would watch Peppa with them, does he like cheese, if he was staying the night.”
While most other suited and booted professional men might have balked at the attention, Lorna reveals Dan handled the situation with aplomb, refusing even to be broken by graphic toilet talk.
“The finale - Elsie walking out of the toilet announcing she had just done ‘her biggest poo yet - it was a bit spikey though, so please can you wipe my bum’. Poor Dan. Poor, poor Dan.”
Dan really got the recognition he deserved though, when Lorna posted the photo to parenting group The Motherload’s Facebook page.
With hundreds of thousands of shares and even seeing #findDan trending, the real estate agent – who admits he has lots of cousins and is very comfortable around little ones – has been taken aback at all the attention.
“When I went round to see Lorna I wasn’t really expecting anything but the kids were amazing. I walked in and they were having their dinner, I just started talking to them about what they were having and the next thing they were asking me to pick them up,” he told the Daily Mail. “They are just hilarious and I just went with it.”
Good news ladies, Dan confirms he is single.
