Granny knits world's most awkward blanket

Grannies are pretty much the best knitters going around. There's nothing like a cosy jumper or a throw rug to make you feel all warm and fuzzy when the temperature dips.

The only thing is, sometimes Granny tries to branch out and make something a bit hip and cool. That's when things have a tendency to go a little bit pear-shaped, as an Imgur user recently realised.

In a post titled "When Grandma makes a shark blanket", user 'newrapson' shared a photo of a little boy wrapped up snug in a beautifully crafted, handknitted, shark-shaped blanket.

Unfortunately, the shark's dorsal fin stood proudly, front and centre, right where... well, just take a look.

Next time, Nan, a mermaid tail will be just fine.
