The weird thing about Trump's birthday tweet to Melania

He’s notorious for shying away from holding his wife’s hand in public so when PDA-averse Donald Trump tweeted Melania for her 47th birthday yesterday, no one batted an eyelid.

What did raise some eyebrows though was something odd contained within the president’s tweet.

The POTUS issued his birthday shout-out accompanied by a pic of the couple holding hands on his inauguration day earlier in January.

A strap across the bottom of the image saw the date, a US flag and Melania’s name.

It was this strap that some eagle-eyed Twitter followers noticed the most though, with many quick to tweet the president on his mistake.

If you need a hint, take a closer look at the flag.

There’s only 39 stars on the flag, not the 50 that are actually meant to be there.

Of course, Twitter had a field day with the mistake, pondering whether Trump was subliminally trying to tell them something.
