What every medicine cabinet should have

If you’ve ever suffered the misfortune of experiencing a bee sting, you’d be aware these little insects pack a nasty and very painful punch. In the heat of the moment, it’s helpful to know what provides effective relief from the initial pain an insect bite can cause.

DermAid is my go-to solution for a number of minor skin irritations. And the best part about the product is it’s gentle on the skin. The night I inadvertently stepped on a rogue bee, I was very happy to find DermAid 1% spray in my medicine cabinet. After applying liberally to my injured toe, the throbbing pain subsided.

Why DermAid?
The fact DermAid has been on the market for 20 years reassures me this is a brand with a strong safety profile. But beyond that, this scientifically formulated Ego Pharmaceuticals product is also versatile. It’s not only helps to soothe unwanted insect bites, it’s also good for other minor annoyances like sunburn, itchy rashes, scalp irritations, dermatitis and eczema.

Quite a few years ago, my three-year-old child suffered from occasional skin outbreaks. A trip to the doctor indicated he had a mild form of eczema. As a concerned mother, I’m wary of what creams or lotions I apply to my kids’ skin and didn’t want anything chemical-based. The pharmacist recommended DermAid 1% cream. He reassured me the brand is Australia’s market leader in hydrocortisone, has been dermatologically tested, and is free from fragrance and alcohol.

With his assurances and instructions on how to apply the cream, I gained peace of mind. After a few weeks, my son’s eczema had eased considerably.

In another instance, I began using DermAid’s 1% spray for the onset of the “boardie chafing” my kids were experiencing after trips to the beach. Because DermAid’s formulations are dissolved hydrocortisone, they are fast-acting. The spray bottle was convenient to use, making it easy to apply directly on the affected areas.

As a mother, I love that DermAid is such a versatile product—from bee stings through to chafing. It can be applied to adults and children two years and older, making it a go-to for the whole family. It’s one of those items that’s sorely missed when it’s not in the medicine cabinet.

Disclaimer: Only apply DermAid as per consumer leaflet. Your pharmacist’s advice is required. Always read the label and use only as directed. If symptoms persist, please see your healthcare professional.
