Prince William's gushing confession about Prince Harry

They’re constantly pictured together out-and-about at royal events and now Prince William has made the cutest confession about his little brother.

The Duke of Cambridge was invited to join in with a group discussion at the Campaign Against Living Miserably – a charity aimed at men’s mental health – when he gushed over Prince Harry.

The 35-year-old prince claimed his 33-year-old brother is his “best mate” and said they got even closer after the passing of their mother, Prince Diana when they were young boys.

"Losing our mother at a young age, it's helped us travel through that difficult patch together,” Prince William said during the group discussion.

“You're like-minded. You go through similar things, it's a bond and it's something you know you've tackled together and come out better for it.

"That's the thing about being a best mate, inevitably one of you is sometimes on an up while the other is on a down. You're always there for each other and repaying that favour."

When asked by Capital DJ Roman Kemp whether or not he’ll be Prince Harry’s best man, the royal squirmed a bit at the uncomfortable question.

"He hasn't asked me yet, just to clear that up. It could be a sensitive subject,” Prince William said, according to The Telegraph.

Footballer Rio Ferdinand also asked the Prince whether the royal wedding was going to clash with his FA Cup duties.

Prince William replied that he was “trying to see what I can do” about the issue.

The 35-year-old Duke of Cambridge is in fact the President of the Football Association and Prince Harry’s wedding just happens to land on the biggest night of the year for football.

According to the Mirror, Kensington Palace has confirmed that plans are being put in place to ensure that Prince William will not miss our on the final.

This will probably mean that the Duke will fly after the ceremony and dinner part of the day is finished.
