Feud brews between Prince Harry and Prince Charles over royal wedding plans
Emotions are high in the lead-up to weddings but imagine having the eyes of the whole world on you as you plan your big day?
That’s exactly how Prince Harry must be feeling over his May 19 wedding to Meghan Markle, because he’s apparently at loggerheads with his father, Prince Charles, over the nuptials.
A source told the Daily Mail that Prince Charles has tried to put his own stamp on the day by instructing one of his top aides to help plan the reception.
However, it’s said to have down like a “lead balloon” with his son, Prince Harry and his future daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle.
The royal lovebirds have made it clear that they want to organize every aspect of the big day themselves and keep it as low-key as possible.
Back in November, it was revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are totally against having a public holiday on the day of their wedding because they don’t want a big deal made out of it.
"Pomp and pageantry is the last thing he would want," a source told Us Weekly.
"I can see him wanting to get married at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
“It would stop it from turning into a total media circus and give the day a sense of privacy that Harry so badly craves."
Indeed, just weeks later it was announced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will marry at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
It’s thought they consciously made the decision because the church only fits 800 people, while Westminster Abbey, where his brother got married, can easily fit 5,000.
