Camilla's rift with Meghan is ruining her marriage to Charles
His two sons are deeply in love, but there may be trouble in paradise for Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles.
According to a report in Woman’s Day, the Duchess of Cornwall has a rocky relationship with the newest member of the royal family, and it's creating friction in her own marriage.
Apparently the 70-year-old isn’t all that pleased with Prince Harry’s choice of bride, but Charles is said to be standing by his son.
“Camilla can’t stand Meghan and has not been shy about it,” a royal insider tells the magazine.
“Charles has found the whole thing exasperating. He can’t believe his wife is so small minded and has told her to her face.”
The unnamed informant goes on to claim that the supposed rift between Camilla and Meghan may mean that the Duchess is left off the wedding guest list when Harry and the Suits star tie the knot in Windsor in May.
Instead of taking her cues from Camilla, 36-year-old Meghan appears to be following in Diana’s footsteps and is shaping up to be a “people’s princess” thanks to her dedication to charity work.
She also seems to have fit in quite well with the rest of the family, and although she’s only been officially on the royal scene for a matter of months, she was invited to spend Christmas with the Queen last year – something Kate Middleton didn’t do once in the ten years before she married William.
Speaking about Meghan's interactions with the royals over the festive season, Harry told BBC Radio, “The family loved having her there.”
“I think together, we had an amazing time… She’s getting in there and it’s the family that I suppose she’s never had.”
