Where Meghan Markle will spend the night before the royal wedding

She’s about to become a Duchess when she marries Prince Harry in May and Meghan Markle is making sure she spends her last night of freedom in style.

The 36-year-old former Suits actress is in the throes of planning her fairytale wedding to her prince charming at the moment, and now it’s been speculated where she’ll relax on her final night as a single woman.

Harry and Meghan will say ‘I do’ at Windsor Castle in front of hundreds of their friends and family, and it’s likely Meghan won’t stray too far from the picturesque setting.

In fact, it’s believed that she might stay at the royal residences at Windsor Castle, just a stone’s throw away from where she’ll walk down the aisle.

The Queen uses the residences for a month at Easter each year and a week in June for Royal Ascot and it’s also been known to be the location for banquets and parties when dignitaries come to visit.

Back in 2008, Autumn Phillips stayed at Windsor Castle before she married Peter Phillips.

The location is also steeped in royal history, with Prince Edward and Miss Sophie Rhys-Jones marrying there in June 1999 and Prince Charles and Camilla holding a service of dedication there in 2005.

If Meghan would prefer to be away from the prying eyes on Windsor Castle, she could also base herself out of Frogmore House, which is just a 10-minute drive from Windsor Castle.

The couple are clearly already huge fans of the House, even taking their engagement photos in it’s beautiful garden back in November.

There’s always the chance she will take after her future sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, and rent out a hotel for the occasion.

Kate and her whole family famously set up home at The Goring Hotel in Belgravia before she married Prince William in 2011.
