Woman’s Tinder swap using before and after diet pics
It’s the popular dating app where you swipe to like someone based solely on their pictures alone.
And one Youtube vlogger has put superficiality to the test on Tinder after swapping her profile photos of her now, to pics of her before she lost 45 kilos.
Crystal Breeze, 20, is known for candidly sharing how much her life changed after she lost a huge amount of weight during a year of dieting.
And the influencer decided to conduct a little “social experiment” to see what reactions she would get from Tinder men by swapping her profile photos after they had already matched.
The brunette from Coachella Valley, California posted a video of the experiment, showing her Tinder account with pictures of her in skimpy dresses and showing off her epic body.
After matching with a slew of men, Crystal then changed her photos to before her diet, when she weighed 109 kg and not the 63 kg she currently is – and the reactions were almost instantaneous.
“Someone unmatched me!” Crystal says in the video. “Did you see that name disappear?"
With some men making their feelings very clear with messages such as, “Damn, I got catfished”, not all the responses were so brutal.
Proving that some nice guys are out there, Crystal gets emotional when others text her saying they still think she’s cute.
“I didn’t really expect those couple of guys to be like, ‘Oh, I still think you’re cute’.”
It made me feel good. In my mind, I don’t think any guy would have liked me at the weight I was before.”
Maybe there’s hope out there after all…
