Melania ignores Donald Trump on tarmac

It hasn’t been an easy start to the year for Melania Trump.

The US President and First Lady’s marriage has been dogged by rumours of an affair, and despite denials, their relationship is under more scrutiny than ever.

So it doesn’t help that Melania was seen powering straight past her husband, seemingly ignoring him, when they landed in Florida on Friday night.

Arriving on the tarmac, 71-year-old Donald and his youngest son Barron, walked down the stairs of the Air Force One jet side by side, with Melania, 47, trailing behind them.

On their way to their awaiting car, the businessman turned politician appears to pause and wait for his wife while waving to crowds, but she storms right on by, not even pausing to catch Donald’s eye. You can watch the video above.

The pair are spending the weekend at the Mar-a-Lago in Florida after Melania was there to support the President at his first State of the Union address last week.

In an interesting move, she chose to arrive without her husband, breaking a tradition where First Ladies accompany the President to the event. Both the Obamas and the Bushes arrived together at every State of the Union in their eight years in office each.

Instead, Melania arrived alongside the special guests she had invited to sit next to her.
