Spice Girls to 'reunite' for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding

Prince William and Kate Middleton had Ellie Goulding serenading them on the dancefloor at their wedding reception and now Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have totally blown their celebrity act out of the water.

According to reports, the 33-year-old prince and his 36-year-old lady love are desperate for the Spice Girls to reunite in time for their nuptials on May 19th.

And while some people may have laughed at their request just mere days ago, the girls have majorly reignited reunion hopes by posting a stream of Instagram photos together over the weekend after they met up in London.

Victoria Beckham, Mel C, Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton were snapped hugging it out online, with their former manager, Simon Fuller, in tow.

Fans couldn’t contain their excitement, with many begging the former girl group to reveal whether they are reuniting or not.

And now, it appears that the highly anticipated royal wedding may be the reason behind their get together.

“Geri suggested the Royal Wedding is a fantastic opportunity, and that they should offer to perform at the reception,” a source told The Sun about their possible reunion.

“She has been told that Meghan was a big fan of the Spice Girls.”

While nothing is yet set in stone, it’s been claimed that the group of five are eager to perform together again.

“We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together,” they said in a statement released to the Daily Mail.

“We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls.

“We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations.”

The girls will be far from the only famous faces at the royal wedding, with a plethora of Hollywood’s elite expected to make their way to Windsor Castle on the day.

Meghan Markle’s Suits co-stars, Serena Williams, Millie McIntosh and the Obamas are all likely to be on the guest list.
