Prince Harry's secret Facebook account uncovered

His fiancé, Meghan Markle, was forced to shut down all her social media accounts when she got serious with Prince Harry but it turns out the royal had a sneaky Facebook account on the side.

The 33-year-old, who is due to walk down the aisle and say ‘I do’ on May 19th, reportedly had a secret account on the sly when he was younger.

During his partying days, it’s reported that Harry created a fake account under the pseudonym Spike Wells, where he would share images of himself with his then girlfriend, Chelsea Davy.

Indeed, Prince Harry’s wild days were well documented, with the party-loving royal often pictured stumbling out of clubs.

According to The Mirror, he had 400 friends on the site but it was around the time photos emerged of Harry playing strip poker in Las Vegas that his whole account was shut down – and it never reopened.

It’s a surprising revelation from the flame-haired royal, who has previously spoken out about his distaste for social media, even telling young people that they should look up from their phones once in a while.

"You know that in a clickbait culture, we cannot waste time sharing and drawing attention to things that make us angry, or that we know to be false,” Harry said to a packed conference at the 2017 WEday last September.

“You all know that it’s great to ‘like’ things on social media, but that it’s more important to look up from our phones, to get out into our communities, and to take real action; to stand up for what you believe in."

No member of the royal family actually has a personal social media account.

Kensington Palace runs a smooth operation on Instagram, where they promote news of the day and events that the royals have been involved in.

And just recently Meghan Markle, who was a Hollywood actress before she moved to Kensington Palace to be with Prince Harry, shut down all her accounts.

The 36-year-old former Suits actress was a keen Instagrammer and also had her own lifestyle blog called The Tig.
