Kate Middleton's bump sparks theory it's a girl

She’s due to give birth in April but that hasn’t stopped people desperately trying to guess whether Kate Middleton is having a little Prince or Princess.

While many believe the Duchess of Cambridge may in fact be carrying twins, others are adamant that she’s only having one child and it’s a girl.

The 36-year-old Duchess is currently in the last trimester of her third pregnancy and according to some, her bump is very similar to how it was during one of her previous pregnancies.

The Daily Mail have pointed out that Kate’s bump, which has been on display at numerous royal events in the past few months, is high and wide, meaning it’s more likely to be a girl.

It may be an old wives’ tale, but they do actually point out how similar Kate’s bump is to when she was pregnant with Princess Charlotte in 2015 and how different it is to when she was carrying Prince George back in 2013.

Indeed, the Duchess and Prince William are adamant that they do not know the sex of their unborn child, however, if we were staking a bet, we’d put our money on a girl.

The news comes amidst rumours that the pair are actually expecting twins and Kensington Palace has been preparing for their arrival for months now.

The 36-year-old announced in September that she is pregnant with the couple’s third child and straight away the rumours started about Kate perhaps welcoming two babies into the world.

Speaking to Life & Style, a royal inside said at the time that the Duchess was keeping the whole thing under wraps but palace officials were well aware of the happy news.

However, it’s been claimed that Kate is actually “worried” her older kids will be jealous of the twins’ arrival “especially Charlotte, who loves being the center of attention”.

“But Kate knows that sibling rivalry is all part of the process of growing up,” the insider said.

Just one month before that, it was revealed that Kensington Palace was preparing for the arrival of twins.

“Wills and Kate have certainly been busy making arrangements for not just one, but two royal babies,” a source told New Idea.

“They’re also interviewing for another nanny to help Maria and they’re looking to arrange even more renovations to make an extra nursery.”

However, Prince William recently put a halt to those rumours when he claimed twins would be too much for the couple to handle.

"Two is fine, I don't know how I'm going to cope with three, I'm going to be permanently tired,” Prince William said on an official royal visit, according to Hello! magazine.

Kate’s due date is in April so we don’t have long to wait before we find out the extent of the royal baby news.
