Body language expert reveals Meghan’s true feelings for Kate

Opinionated, educated and not afraid to speak her own mind – Meghan Markle has made it clear she’s not about to change her personality despite being just weeks shy of becoming royalty.

Now, a body language expert has analysed how Meghan’s behaviour sits with her future sister-in-law Kate Middleton, as they attend their first official public appearance together at the Royal Foundation Forum in London.

While Kate is known for her calm, measured and perfectly proper public persona, it seems Meghan is heading in the complete opposite direction, stealing the show with her fiery and impassioned answers during the forum.

“There are superficial similarities between these two women, but in terms of body language and communication their styles are polar opposites,” body language expert Judi James told the Mirror.

“Kate has always seemed strategic, careful, thoughtful and perfect in terms of her royal smiles and support towards William.

“Meghan looks more driven, spontaneous and keen to speak her mind and take charge."

Judi explains that while most would expect Kate - who has been officially representing the royal family since she tied the knot with Prince William in 2011 - to take Meghan under her wing, it was the former Suits star who took charge of the situation.

There’s no doubting Meghan’s confidence in front of a crowd, thanks to her years in Hollywood – which is something Kate battled with after she was thrust in the spotlight.

Judi highlights that there was ‘little if any communication’ between Kate and Meghan, and while there were a few moments where they mimicked each other with hair gestures and clapping, Meghan didn't appear to be looking to Kate for guidance in the slightest.

Kate's relationship with Prince Harry has been affected by Meghan's presence as well, says Judi.

With Prince William always the more formal of the trio at public events, Prince Harry often delighted at cracking Kate up by making jokes or faces.

“At this event there was a moment when Harry turned to pull a funny face and Kate responded with a grin but then noticed the face was pulled towards an openly laughing Meghan, at which Kate's face did drop a little and her head tilted rather sadly to one side,” explained Judi.

As the spotlight shines firmly in Meghan's direction in the lead-up to her May 19 wedding to Prince Harry, Judi claims it will be interesting to see how the dynamics of the 'fab four' develop.
