Meet Isabella Nichols, the 19-year-old Aussie surfer who worked with the actress for her latest film, The Shallows.
As the number one junior surfing champion in the world, lets just say Isabella was more than qualified to show off her skills in the movie, which sees Blake’s surfer girl character pitted against a bloodthirsty shark.
And the Coolum Beach local is all about staying fit, telling Teen Vogue her “gnarly” daily routine gets her “prepared for taking on anything”.

“These are great for my lower body plyometric power," she tells Teen Vogue.
Pull-ups
“I pull my shoulder blades down into their set position, then I pull my chest up to the bar above me," she reveals.
Boxing
Isabella is all about straights, hooks and upper cuts.

Get down low and go, go, go," Isabella says. "It’s great for my lower body strength and power."
Front squats with barbell
“They’re great for lower body strength and mobility," says Isabella.
Yoga
It’s not all cardio for Isabella with downward dog and sun salutations making it into her fitness routine.
