New diet requires you to eat unlimited carbs

Carbs no longer equals weight gain, apparently…

It’s time to forget everything we’ve ever been told, as a new diet has been created for pasta and bread lovers. Huzzah!

Founder and bodybuilder Nate Miyaki from San Francisco claims his new diet regime is based on research which appeared in the Obesity Journal in 2011.

The study showed that people who only ate carbs at night, rather than throughout the day, lost more weight.

Nate drew up the nutritional plan that means you can feast on as much spaghetti bolognese, mash potato and bread as your heart desires. BUT there's a catch....

Called the Half Day diet, he proposes you fast all morning and then you can eat unlimited carbs until bed.

We like the sound of this.

“Picture how easy it would be to diet for just half a day. And doesn’t that make so much more sense?” Nate said on his official website.

“Because your ancestors spent the day foraging for food, they “dieted” only half the day while they feasted at night.”

But so far, there are no case studies, despite his claims that some people have lost up to 90 kilos from following his plan.
