Nutritionist reveals the 'healthy' habits you need to dump

We all know we should be eating less junk food, exercising more and slashing our Netflix viewing in half, if we want to lead a healthy life.

However we didn’t know some of the habits we thought were our healthiest ones could actually be setting us back.

In fact, nutritionist Lyndi Cohen believes there is a whole list of unhealthy traits we’ve added to our routines that we need to put a stop to right away.

“You don’t need to wright yourself. Ever,” she wrote on her blog, Lyndicohen.com.

“In fact, weighing yourself may make it harder to find your healthiest weight in the long terms.”

Lyndi instead recommends relying on how different your body feels to you and you will feel a lot better.

“At first it is fun but one day you wake up and realise that food controls you and not the other way around,” she wrote.

“It’s easy to slip in disordered eating and counting macros is a gateway.”

If you’re the kind of person who wakes up and checks their phone, is constantly on their phone at work and in the evenings when you get home, then you could seriously be affecting your health.

Lyndi reckons you’re “setting yourself up for anxiety” if the first thing you do when you wake up is roll over and browse the web

“Charge your phone in another room, buy an alarm clock and don’t check your phone an hour before or after sleep,” she wrote.

She also says you should ditch scrolling through your phone when you’re out with friends, as you need human interaction I your life.

The blogger also recommends scrapping commenting on pother people’s weight and eating habits to create a “healthy environment” for all.
