Mum pulls gun on hairdresser

Waiting around at the hairdresser's can get pretty boring – even when you're the one in the chair.

But most of us confine our frustrations to the occasional sigh or an irritated flick through a magazine.

Not this mum.

As her seven-year-old son's haircut progressed, the Cleveland, Ohio mother grew increasingly annoyed at the time the trainee barber was taking.

Suddenly, she whipped a pistol out of her handbag, brandishing it at the hairdresser and threatening to "pop a clip" if the haircut wasn't hurried along.

"I've got two clips [rounds of ammunition]," she said. "I'll pop you."

Horrified bystanders can be seen cowering in fear on the CCTV footage.

"I was afraid," eyewitness Marlyn Medina said.

"You never know the intention she had, if she was really going to shoot, if she was really going to do something."

Loal police are now trying to track down the firearm-toting mum.
