Mum discovers live stream of twin girls' bedroom online

A distressed mother has issued a terrifying warning after discovering that the web camera she installed in her twin daughters’ bedroom had been hacked.

The Houston mother, who wishes to remain anonymous to protect the identity of her children, claims she installed the cameras so she could keep an eye over the young girls.

However she never thought that footage of her daughters’ pretty pink bedroom would appear on the internet for the whole world to see.

Speaking to KPRC, the mum said she found out that a live stream of her twins’ room was on web after a Oregon woman discovered it and posted to Facebook to find her.

The woman was using the app, Live Camera Viewer for IP Cams, when she came across the little girls’ room.

She immediately took a screenshot and posted it to Facebook, before the mother of the girls was alerted.

When the mum found out that it was her daughters’ room, she turned off the camera and now says she will reconfigure all the passwords before ever turning it back on.

“I mean people are watching what they do 24/7 and who knows who’s watching it?” the mum told KPRC.

“Like I said I have cameras to protect my kids and I kind of feel like we failed them, we didn’t protect them we actually put them in harm’s way.

The mom thinks the hackers may have gained access to the system while the girls were playing video games.
