Could you handle this 'demanding' $163K nanny job?

A couple has come under fire for posting a nanny job online with an extremely “demanding” list of requirements.

Despite the pretty impressive $163,000 salary, the parents are looking for a full-time live-in nanny, who would be expected to work from 7am to 8pm, six days a week.

The couple took to Childcare.co.uk to advertise the job, claiming they wanted to be upfront about the job specifications and their hectic lives.

The post starts by stating that the family are looking for a nanny with a degree in child phycology, with 15 years experience in the industry, who doesn’t have children of their own.

They then explain that they divide their time between their four homes in London, Barbados, Cape Town and Atlanta – meaning the candidate must be prepared to travel a lot.

“I feel it is best to be upfront - the role is demanding,” the post reads.

“Our children are home-schooled and require constant attention and supervision, even when they are with their teachers.”

The post then states that a Michelin star chef will cook meals and the nanny should eat with the kids.

“We have multiple cars including a Porsche, Range Rover and Maserati which are available for the candidate to use – we expect the nanny to run errands and take the children to various daily appointments,” the post reads.

The couple say they are often away for work commitments but when they are at home they will often want to spend time alone with the kids and the nanny will be required to leave.

“We don not mind what the nanny does with their free time, however binge drinking or drug taking with not be tolerated and will result in instant dismissal,” the couple say.

It finishes off by saying the nanny would ideally have self-defense training but if they don’t they can provide it.
