Kelsey Harmon shared the picture of her sad looking gramps - which has been retweeted over 151,000 times - with a caption that explained she was the only one of six grandchildren to show up for burger night.

The Internet, of course, was outraged that the children had let their grandfather cook for them and then hadn't shown up.
Why couldn't they just show up to pawpaw's dinner pic.twitter.com/T2xZ7IqNaD

Soon, Papaw was overwhelmed with invitations for a little dinner company.
@kelssseyharmon @Thunderwood85 tell ur papa I'll be more than willing to eat a burger with him.

@kelssseyharmon I would have gladly gone in place of one of them

In true Twitter style, things took a dark turn when Kelsey revealed her grandpa-ditching cousins had received death threats online.

Thankfully, Papaw was feeling much better after the Internet's overwhelming support, with Kelsey sharing a message on his behalf.
"Papaw is perfectly fine. He knows about his newfound fame and is just as shocked as me," she wrote.
"Family is the most important thing in my world...Papaw is great. Please know he is loved deeply, and now widely."
