Bride’s dress catches on fire



A women in China got the shock of her life when her dress caught on fire as she was walking down the aisle.

Her wedding planner had placed a series of fireworks along the aisle edge, but hadn’t accounted for the width of her dress.

The bride, who goes by the name Xu, said she didn’t realise her gown was on fire until it was too late, telling press she thought the smoke was atmospheric at first.

“Then I felt heat on my leg and it felt painful, I realised it was fire,” she said.

Startled guests jumped out of their seats to help her out by pouring red wine (fail) and water over the gown, but Xu ultimately had to be taken to hospital, where she was treated for second-degree burns.

The couple is currently in the process of suing their wedding planner.
