Cheeky young gorilla steals food from giant Silverback

This youngster should know better than to steal food from a 165 kilogram Silverback gorilla.

The giant primates were recorded chilling in an enclosure snacking away at some nutritious bananas, when a cheeky little gorilla thought he’d try his luck by snaking some fruit from from under the nose of a dominant male.

Hiding behind the 26-stone herbivore, the little fella can be seen reaching under the gorilla’s arm when he’s not looking and getting away with one banana.

He quickly gobbles it down so he doesn't get caught. Genius!

Despite his intelligence, little does the Silverback male know he’s one banana down when he turns his back for a feed.

The little gorilla then walks around his elder and tries a second time, but he’s having none of it when he realises what the cheeky one is up to.

What a smart little monkey!
