Can you spot the owl in this photo?

If you’re able to spot the owl in this professional photo, then you have eyes as keen as a hawk!

The owl seamlessly blends in with its natural environment, making the bird almost impossible to find.

The African scoops owl was snapped in a game reserve in South Africa surrounded by green and brown leaves and grey tree trunks.

Safari guide Roan du Plessis at andBeyond's Ngala Safari Lodge took the photo to show visitors just how incredible the game reserve’s trackers are at spotting animals.

Roan, 26, takes guests on tours of the wildlife park, and while he isn’t a professional photographer, he loves capturing the reserve’s flora and fauna and unlikely moments like these.

“I like the composition and colours of the photos and how it demonstrates the potential camouflage of these vulnerable predators,” he said.

The grey owl is super difficult to spot, but this behaviour is typical of the African scoops owl so it can protect itself from those animals higher up in the food chain.

We’re not going to lie, it was agonising trying to find where in the trees the little guy was hiding.

After staring dumbfoundedly at our screens for ages, we gave in because the task was nothing like he had anticipated and thought we’d never find him.

If you have razor vision, you might be lucky enough to find the wise animal.

Wow, that was difficult huh?

We can only imagine how sharp the game park trackers’ eyes are to spot this little fella in the big bad wild!
