Princess Beatrice 'lets fly' at Kate Middleton

She may have been born into the royal family but it’s reported that Princess Beatrice is sick of being shunned in favour of Kate Middleton.

The 28-year-old daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson is reportedly upset that Prince William’s wife gets the royal treatment while she and her sister, Princess Eugenie, are struggling to find their place in the family.

According to New Idea, Beatrice called Kate and “let fly” as she is reportedly struggling financially, while Kate is being praised and rewarded with more and more royal duties.

“She looks at Kate and she has everything that Beatrice is entitled to – the luxury clothes, cars, jewels, bodyguards, and is the darling of the royal family,” a source said.

“Bea feels like she’s been cast aside.”

Beatrice left Manhattan investment firm Sandbridge Capital in order to work on her own start-up in August.

Her position at Sandbridge Capital, a health and lifestyle investment firm, was her fourth job in five years.

The princess has reportedly been struggling with her new business venture and things only got worse when she broke up with her boyfriend Dave Clark.

The couple had been together for ten years and Beatrice has apparently taken the split hard.

However while Kate wishes she could help out Beatrice, it’s been claimed that she has little influence with Prince Charles and is instead focusing on her own royal engagements.

The tension between Princess Beatrice and Kate Middleton has always been apparent but it reportedly escalated when her long-term boyfriend Clark and her mother, Fergie, weren’t invited to Kate and Wills’ extravagant wedding in 2011.

Prince William was apparently wary of Clark as he was a loud and boisterous man and Wills is notoriously secretive about his private life.

Yet just weeks later Clark was invited to Zara Phillips’ wedding where he hung out with Kate and Wills despite the snub.

Things only got worse between the royals when Kate Middleton started to get close to the Queen, attending a Diamond Jubilee visit alone with Her Majesty.

Meanwhile the Queen is said to pay Beatrice little attention, as she has no time for her mother, Fergie, who has been involved in countless controversies relating to the royal family.

Just a few months ago Prince Andrew decided to stand up for his daughters by asking Prince Charles to trust them with more royal duties.

It was reported a rift had formed between Andrew and his brother Prince Charles, who reportedly intervened in the proposals leaving the ultimate decision to Her Majesty The Queen.

It was reported at the time that Prince Charles feared an increase in the number of taxpayer-funded royals would threaten his popularity when he becomes king.

"As a father, my wish for my daughters is for them to be modern, working, young women, who happen to be members of the Royal Family, and I am delighted to see them building their careers," Prince Andrew said in a statement.

"When they do support the Royal Family in its work this is very much appreciated by my family and, most importantly, by those organisations and to those for whom their participation makes such a difference to their lives."

Prince Andrew then went into protective father mode, claiming he felt the need to make a public statement about his daughters after they were caught in the middle of rumours the royals were butting heads.

He said while he "appreciates as granddaughters of The Queen that there is considerable interest" in the ladies, he said he "cannot stand by" as their future is speculated upon.
