Couple announce they’re expecting in the sweetest way

After Todd Krieg became paralysed from the chest down following a horror motocross accident, doctors told him he had very little chance of conceiving a child naturally.

So when he and his new fiancé fell pregnant the good ol’ fashioned way 14 weeks ago, it was certainly cause to celebrate!

He organised for a professional photo shoot and proudly announced to the world that: “It still works!”

He wanted everyone to know 'it still works!

But that isn’t all Todd had in mind. The Ohio man also used the opportunity to propose to his special lady Amanda and capture her surprise on camera.

The couple have been together for a year and a half after meeting at a California recovery centre.

Todd was there after a 2014 accident ended his professional motocross career and left him as a paraplegic, while Amanda was working as a paralysis therapist.

“Todd had a crush on me and called me the ‘cute therapist’, and I found him so handsome but was so afraid to be unprofessional and hit on a client,” Amanda tells Brides.

“Thankfully Todd got the drunken courage on Halloween night 2015 to confess his attraction for me. When he was done with therapy in summer 2016, he moved back to Ohio.”

Not wanting to continue their relationship long distance, Amanda packed up her life and moved across the country where she now works with developmental disabilities.

She’s also entered a competition to win the wedding of her dreams, and says she and Todd are the perfect match because they constantly make each other laugh.

“We think we are the funniest people we know (and it's totally true),” she says, “The joy he brings me is unexplainable and he is my best friend.”

"I admire Todd for the struggles he's been through and hardship he now faces with being in a wheelchair and unable to walk. He is in constant pain from his injury, yet finds a way to put on a happy face in order to love me and others well.”

What a couple, our hearts are melting!
