Camilla 'blows-up' at Princess Mary

They’re wives to two of the most powerful men in the world and now it’s been claimed that a feud may be brewing between Camilla and Princess Mary.

At a palace function recently, Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall, who is married to Prince Charles, reportedly lashed out at Crown Princess Mary of Denmark in front of everyone.

“She was incredibly rude to Mary when they started talking and Camilla was very confrontational, snapping at her and putting her down in front of everyone,” a royal insider told New Idea.

It’s believed that Camilla has always been jealous of Mary’s public persona and the fact that she’s still not in favour with the British public isn’t helping.

“Camilla on the other hand, is Britain’s least favourite royal, with polls constantly indicating no-one wants her to become Queen,” the source said.

News of their alleged feud comes after it was reported last year that Princess Mary and Kate Middleton would step-up for their coronations in 2017.

It's believed that both Mary and Kate, who have become close friends since marrying into royalty, are ready for the next chapter in their royal journey.

Princess Mary has been seen stepping up her royal duties in the last few months and Kate Middleton has been the darling of the British public since she married Prince William in 2011.

Mary - who has children Prince Christian, 10, Princess Isabella, nine, and five-year-old twins Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent with husband Crown Prince Frederik -has continuously taken over more and more royal tasks from her ageing mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe II.

Queen Margrethe has turned 76 and she confirmed last year that her husband, Prince Henrik, was retiring, leaving many questioning when she would join him and if Princess Mary would take up a more prominent role in the royal family.

The Queen's health has also been deteriorating and it's thought that soon she will begin passing over the majority of her duties to her son Prince Frederik.

However it’s looking more and more likely that Mary will be making her debut as a Queen soon, it’s yet to be seen whether Camilla would give up her crown to Kate Middleton.
