Wine-infused coffee exists and it’s marvellous

It’s no secret that a good glass of vino and a decent cup of coffee are absolute bare essentials, but now someone has done the world a massive favour and married the two.

That’s right, a cafe in Napa Valley has taken it upon themselves to create a wine-infused coffee.

Known to locals as Molinari Private Reserve, the glorious baristas put their scientist coats on to pour red wine and roasted it with coffee beans, to create a coffee blend that legitimately smells like wine and even tastes like it.

FYI if you’re worried about the intensity -fear not, it still tastes like a rich caffeine beverage, so don’t expect a heated glass of shiraz.

Another hot tip? If you’re a black coffee drinker, you may want to rethink it because apparently the more milk you add, the stronger the infusion of wine.

While it’s a bit of a geographic stretch to head to Napa Valley, those who have a coffee machine can buy the beans online for a mere $26 (AU).

The genius concoction has been so warmly welcomed by coffee lovers that stockists are currently sold out, but there website assures us that they’re “Roasting more this week, and backorders will be shipped ASAP.”

Who’d have thought? A Jesus-juice that is socially acceptable to be consumed at 6am. A miracle, really.
